Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph White Gold Green 5968G 2024

The Aquanaut Chronograph in white gold, with the green dial and matching tropical strap that made this execution the one collectors went looking for. Reference 5968G-010, 42.2mm, brand new and complete.

The Aquanaut has always been the Nautilus's less formal sibling — the same Genta-descended design language, softened, on rubber rather than a bracelet. Adding a chronograph produced something unusual in the Patek Philippe catalogue: a genuinely sporting complication in a case you can wear in salt water. The embossed Aquanaut grid is rendered in green here, matched to the composite strap.

The case is white gold, confirmed by the Au750 hallmark on the flank. Against so much green it reads almost as steel until you pick it up, and the weight settles the question immediately.

The movement is calibre CH 28-520 C, Patek Philippe's self-winding flyback chronograph — a column-wheel design with a vertical clutch, which is why the chronograph seconds hand starts without the tiny jump you get from a lateral coupling. Between 45 and 55 hours of power reserve, water-resistant to 30 metres.
