In Melbourne, bring it to our Collins Street boutique and assessment takes around thirty minutes, so you can be paid before you leave. In Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and the Gold Coast, leave it with our watchmaking partner and be paid on their assessment. Everywhere else, we arrange insured transit and settle the same way. You never post it and you never wait on a courier.

How do we value your Rolex?
Most published Rolex prices are asking prices, not transaction prices — what a seller hopes for rather than what the watch changed hands for. The gap between the two is where sellers lose money, because an offer built on asking prices has to be walked backwards later. We price from the other direction: we sell Rolex in volume, so we know what these references settled at this month, and the offer reflects that from the outset.
The parts have to have left the factory together
A Rolex is an assembly, and what it is worth depends on whether its components belong to one another. A replaced bezel insert, a swapped bracelet, a refinished dial — each is survivable on its own and decisive in combination.
A dial like this one cannot be replaced at all. Meteorite is cut from a single slice, so the crystal pattern belongs to that watch and nothing else; a service dial would announce itself instantly.
Most Rolex are far less dramatic than this, which is exactly why they have to be looked at rather than assumed.

- Box, papers, card and accessories
- Current demand, and what that reference is trading at right now
Originality is the fifth, and it is the one we look at hardest.
Our offer is firm, and the condition attached to that is simple: tell us what the watch has been through. A service due, a polished case, a replaced bracelet or bezel insert — declare any of it upfront and we price it in from the start, so it never reappears as a deduction at the counter. That is where most sellers get caught elsewhere, and it is the part we can genuinely fix.
What an offer cannot absorb is what it was never told. If the watchmaker finds an unreported service requirement, or evidence that the case has been polished, the figure has to be revisited — not as a tactic, but because the watch in front of them is a different watch from the one we priced. Declare it and the number stands.
Authentication is done by independent watchmakers, not by us. They have no stake in the number we offer you.
A watch needing service is not a barrier. It is simply part of the figure, and we say so before you decide.
Why are your offers strong?
Because we are not pricing in a margin for a slow sale. A dealer who expects to hold a watch for months has to protect that time in the buying price. We usually know where a Rolex is going before we own it — often to a buyer already waiting for that reference — so the number we quote does not need to carry the cost of stock sitting in a safe.

Consignment is available on select pieces and we will tell you plainly when we think it suits your watch better. For most sellers the outright sale is faster and cleaner.
Why do other dealers sell to us?
Because we started on their side of the counter. The business began as a purely wholesale operation, buying and selling between dealers, and it still runs the way it did then: low margin, high turnover. A retail-first dealer needs a wider margin, and reasonably so — they carry the watch, the display space and the wait for the right customer. We were never built that way, and thin margins on quick turnover mean the figure we quote can sit closer to what the watch is genuinely worth while the trade still works for us.
We buy at wholesale from dealers across Australia. When a piece is too heavy for a shop to hold, or a dealer needs to move stock quickly, we are frequently who they call. Coming to us directly puts you with the end buyer rather than with someone who will be reselling it, and the offer reflects that.
Do you need the box and papers?
Full sets — box, papers, card — are strongly preferred and command the strongest figures. Incomplete sets are considered case by case, with pricing adjusted accordingly. Either way, every piece is independently authenticated regardless of provenance; the watch itself must always pass.
That is not how we treat every brand, so it is worth knowing if you hold more than one. Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin follow the same case-by-case approach as Rolex. Patek Philippe, Richard Mille and F.P. Journe are complete sets only.
How do I find my Rolex reference number?
Worth knowing before you write to us, though it is not essential — we can identify almost any Rolex from photographs alone.
- The guarantee card or papers. The reference is printed on the card alongside the model description. This is the easiest place to look and needs no tools.
- Between the lugs, at the twelve o'clock side. On both vintage and modern watches the reference is engraved into the case here, hidden beneath the bracelet. It is only visible with the bracelet removed, so leave that to a watchmaker rather than forcing it.
- The rehaut — the inner flange around the dial. On watches from roughly 2005 onwards this carries the serial number, not the reference, engraved at six o'clock with repeating "ROLEX" text around the ring. The serial identifies your watch just as usefully, so read us that instead if the bracelet is staying on.
- The dial and the watch itself. The model name appears on the dial — Submariner, Cosmograph Daytona, Datejust — and between the model, the case size, the bezel and the bracelet, we can usually narrow the reference to one candidate.
If you are unsure, send photographs of the dial, the caseback and the clasp, and we will identify it and come back with an offer.
Can you sell a Rolex discreetly?
Worth separating what happens by default from what can be arranged, because they are different things.
Your serial number is protected as a matter of course. We do list watches we have bought, including in our sold archive — that is how a dealer shows what passes through its hands. What we do not do is publish the number that identifies your specific watch. Serials are never listed on our site or on any other platform, our photography is composed so the engraving is not legible, and we never publish images of warranty cards or paperwork. A serial in circulation is a serial that can be misused, so we treat it as yours rather than ours.
Your details stay with us. We do not say who sold us a watch — not to the buyer, not to other dealers, not in passing. No seller of ours has ever needed to ask for that.
Fully private placement, on request. For genuinely sensitive pieces we can place a watch with no public listing at all — nothing on the site, nothing visible to the Australian retail network. This is arranged in advance rather than applied automatically, so tell us at the outset if it matters.
The trade-off, stated plainly. Placing a watch entirely privately means forgoing the open market, and that has a modest effect on the figure. We would rather set that out now than have you discover it later — some sellers want the strongest number, others want the quiet exit, and only you can weigh which matters more.
A serial in circulation is a serial that can be misused. We treat yours as yours.

I'm not in Melbourne — how does it work?
In Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and the Gold Coast you can leave your watch with our watchmaking partner, who authenticates it locally, and we settle by bank transfer on authentication. Everywhere else, the watch travels by insured courier, is authenticated on arrival, and you are paid the same way.
Can you find my next watch once I've sold?
