Cartier Santos-Dumont Platinum Limited Edition 2024
Cartier reserves platinum for its most deliberate gestures, and this Santos-Dumont limited edition is one of them: a cream guilloché dial with burgundy Roman numerals, a ruby cabochon crown, and the flat-bezel case that descends directly from the watch Louis Cartier made for Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1904. Released in a run of 200 pieces, on a brown alligator strap. A 2024 example, examined and authenticated in hand by our horologists, and accompanied by its full set. Cartier's platinum editions tend to be understood only by the people they were made for, and priced accordingly on the secondary market. Sold, and archived here with the other pieces that have passed through our hands.
