Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Openworked Ref: 15407ST 2018

The 15407ST opens the Royal Oak to the bone: a double balance wheel — Audemars Piguet's own answer to the escapement's oldest instability — visible from both sides of a fully openworked calibre 3132. The architecture reads differently at every angle, which is the entire pleasure of a skeletonised Royal Oak; the steel case and integrated bracelet are pure 1972 grammar. A 2018 example, examined and authenticated in hand by our horologists, and accompanied by its full set. Openworked Royal Oaks reward the sort of owner who takes the watch off to look at it, which describes most of the people who buy them. Now sold, and archived as part of the boutique's record.
