Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 'Rubens Barrichello II' Ref: 26078IO 2007
Audemars Piguet made the Royal Oak Offshore a canvas for its racing drivers in the 2000s, and the Rubens Barrichello II is among the more restrained results: a titanium case with a smoked exhibition back, a panda-arranged chronograph dial and a perforated racing strap. It is a limited edition from a period of Offshore experimentation that collectors have recently returned to with fresh interest. A 2007 example, examined and authenticated in hand by our horologists, and accompanied by its full set. Driver editions from this period were built in small numbers and worn hard, so complete, honest examples have become the exception. Sold, and archived here.
