Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph Frosted White Gold Ref: 26239BC 2021

Frosted gold is hand-hammered in the Florentine manner until the surface fractures light like something crystalline — a finish Audemars Piguet revived in 2016 and applies sparingly. On the 26239BC it covers a white gold Royal Oak Chronograph case and bracelet, set against a black Grande Tapisserie dial with contrasting registers. The effect in person is considerably quieter and considerably better than photographs manage. A 2021 example, authenticated by our horologists, complete with its full set. Because the hammering is done by hand, no two frosted cases carry quite the same texture — each is effectively unrepeatable. This piece has been sold; the listing remains in our archive.
