When you land you pull the crown to its middle position and move the ordinary hour hand in whole-hour steps until it agrees with the airport clock — the minute hand does not move, the seconds hand does not stop, and the watch never loses a beat of accuracy to a time change. The date rolls over with the local hour hand rather than the home one, so it is right for wherever you are standing.

The insert repays looking at. In ordinary indoor light the blue half reads almost as dark as the black, and the watch passes as a plain black-bezel GMT; take it outside and the blue separates completely. Against the red-and-blue Pepsi, which announces itself from across a room, this is the one you can wear somewhere that would rather you did not.
