F.P. Journe Tourbillon Souverain Vertical Platinum 2021

François-Paul Journe's tourbillon rewrote what the complication is for: his Tourbillon Souverain carries the remontoir d'égalité — a constant-force device that feeds the escapement identical parcels of energy regardless of the mainspring's state — and in this generation the tourbillon cage is mounted vertically, so the regulating organ turns face-on to the wearer. The dial is laid out in his unmistakable asymmetric architecture, and the movement behind it is fashioned in solid rose gold, as every Journe movement has been since 2004.
