The Élégante 48 in Titalyt — titanium given a dark surface treatment — with the black rubber strap, the shadow twin of the white example. Beneath the tortue case sits Journe's electromechanical calibre with its standby intelligence: leave the watch still and the hands park while the movement sleeps; pick it up and it wakes, resetting itself to the correct time. It is the rare quartz watch collectors take seriously, because it was engineered rather than specified. A 2022 example, examined and authenticated in hand by our horologists, and offered as a full set.It is also the lightest watch in this archive by some distance, which its owner will have noticed daily.
